QPS Employment Group is hiring a Production Associate for a company in Waterloo, IA. This is a potential to hire role on 1st shift.

Production Associate Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Load raw parts onto the production line and remove finished parts from the line
- Perform accurate part counts and verify quantities by part number
- Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality and defects
- Prepare and stage raw materials for the coating process
- Place coated parts into designated racks or shipping containers
- Use an overhead hoist to safely lift and move parts weighing over 50 pounds (company certification provided)
- Maintain inventory accuracy by following established procedures
- Complete production documentation and verify work at the end of each shift

Production Associate Requirements:
- Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when counting and inspecting parts
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Reliable attendance and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of an 8-10-hour shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach frequently
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements during production tasks
- Equipment to use includes production line equipment and overhead hoist (training and certification provided)
- On-the-job training provided

Join a leading food-grade packaging manufacturer in Newton, IA in a Finishing Utility role! In this role, you'll support production by ensuring quality standards are met, keeping production lines running efficiently, and assisting machine operators with packaging and material handling. This is a temporary assignment expected to last through December, though it may end earlier depending on production needs.

Finishing Utility Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support machine operators by keeping production lines supplied with materials
- Load cases into the auto packer and hand pack cartons as needed
- Perform routine quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications
- Verify carton and case counts and ensure finished products are properly stacked and labeled
- Operate a powered industrial vehicle (PIV) to move materials as needed

Finishing Utility Requirements:
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred, but not required

In this role, you will operate plastic injection molding machines and assist with the production of lightweight plastic products. You’ll be responsible for inspecting, packaging, and labeling finished goods to meet customer specifications.

Plastics Injection Operator Responsibilities:
- Operate plastic injection molding machines, including loading materials and monitoring production
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure quality standards are met
- Trim excess plastic from parts using a utility knife
- Package products into boxes according to customer specifications
- Label completed boxes for shipment
- Use small hand tools to assemble lids and components
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements for Plastics Injection Operator:
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and meet production goals

- Ability to stand for 8-12 hours per shift
