QPS Employment Group is seeking a skilled and dependable MIG Structural Welder for a company in Hartford, WI. This is an associate to hire opportunity.
MIG Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform MIG welding on structural steel components according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols
- Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and structural integrity
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Assist with fabrication, fitting, and assembly as needed
- Perform routine maintenance on welding tools and equipment
MIG Welder Requirements:
- Proven experience as a MIG welder, preferably in structural welding
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and safety standards
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Preferred Welding certification (AWS or equivalent)
- Preferred experience working with structural steel or heavy fabrication
- Preferred familiarity with fabrication tools and shop equipment
- Manufacturing / fabrication shop environment
- Exposure to heat, noise, and industrial equipment
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
