Position Title: Welder
Wage: $22-$27/hour
Shift: 1st, 2nd
Hours: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm

Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Position and secure work pieces using hoists, cranes, wire and banding machines or hand tools
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
- Use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components
- Examine work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
- Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment
- Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material
- Guide and direct flames or electrodes on or across work pieces to straighten, bend, melt, or build up metal
- Analyze drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and operations
Welder Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Strong math skills, ability to read a tape measure, and an understanding of blueprints
- Experience in Metal Core 052 to 06, Hard Wire 035 to 045, Flux Core 052 to 062 and Multiple Pass required
- Knowledge of machines and tools, and comfort working with hand tools, grinders, torches, etc.
