Job Description
Position Title: Warehouse Assistant
Wage: $18.00 per hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 5:30am-4:00pm
QPS Employment Group is hiring a Warehouse Assistant for a company in Brodhead, WI. This position will be responsible for getting and keeping the plant clean and organized. This position has the opportunity for hire.
Warehouse Assistant Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- General cleaning and housekeeping, every material and product will have a home
- Utilize forklift (once certified by company) to move products throughout facility and outside yard
- Use plasma cutter (once trained) to cut down old racks and structures throughout plant
- Dispose of any old materials, waste, or debris
- Clean, degrease walls - must be comfortable working at heights
- Painting (using brush, roller, sprayer)
- Paint or apply tape to floors to designate certain areas for walking or storage
- Utilize hand and power tools to assemble new racks
- Organize parts and materials in the plant and sometimes out in the yard, creating labels
- Maintain outside yard, clean up debris from materials
- Utilize overhead crane (once trained by company) to move materials
Warehouse Assistant Requirements:
- Painting skills/experience preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
- Experience with small hand and power tools required
- Ability to change direction and tasks throughout shift required
- Ability to walk or stand the majority of a 10-hour shift
- Good math skills required
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
