Position Title: Utility Operator
Wage: $17/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: A-1st Shift 6am-4pm Monday-Thursday, B-1st Shift 6am-4pm Tuesday-Friday, C-1st Shift 7:30am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
QPS Employment Group is hiring a Utility Operator for a company in Fairfax, KS. This is an associate to hire opportunity.
Utility Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operate and monitor machinery and equipment used in the production of industrial paint supplies
- Maintain a steady supply of raw materials by monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with the supply chain team
- Assist in the setup, calibration, and adjustment of machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality control standards and product specifications
- Operate forklift if working in shipping and receiving to load/unload shipments, retrieve and transport chemical containers as paint supplies
- Identify correct materials and products for blends and orders
- Identify and correctly label product as well as adhering to safety labels
- Maintain a clean work area as well as assisting in general housekeeping of the warehouse
Utility Operator Requirements:
- Experience in manufacturing environment required
- Experience operating a forklift if working in the shipping/receiving department
- Experience as a machine operator a plus but not required
- Must be a team player and work with a sense of urgency
- Must be safety cautious, see something say something
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Stand for a full shift, walk, stand, bend, lift, stoop, turn, twist, push, pull, raising arms above shoulders and head, and operating machinery
- Paint smell in the warehouse, most get used to it quickly
