Midwest-Based Data Center Travel Superintendent – Low Voltage & Mission Critical Operations
Travel Throughout Indiana, Texas, Oklahoma & Louisiana
Join Next Level Technician as a seasoned Data Center Travel Superintendent supporting mission critical and large-scale data center projects across Indiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. This role is ideal for experienced field leaders who thrive in fast-paced environments and can successfully oversee multiple active project sites, lead field teams, maintain safety compliance, and drive projects to completion.
Earn $80,000–$100,000 per year while leading high-profile structured cabling and data center infrastructure projects across multiple regions.
What You’ll Do
Lead workforce planning and field operations across active data center and mission critical project sites
Coordinate closely with Project Managers on:
Scheduling
Manpower planning
Material procurement
Production goals
Project milestones
Oversee multiple active crews and ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope
Read and interpret:
Construction drawings
Rack elevations
Floor plans
Riser diagrams
Data center scope documents
Enforce customer-specific standards, union compliance requirements, and OSHA safety regulations
Conduct regular site visits based on project demands and regional travel schedules
Drive safety initiatives, conduct toolbox talks, and support zero-incident jobsite goals
Monitor and track:
Timecards
Productivity reporting
Test results
Quality control documentation
“As-built” drawings
Support commissioning activities and turnover processes
Mentor Foremen, Lead Technicians, and field personnel to improve production and leadership development
Build and maintain strong customer and contractor relationships on all job sites
Assist with training initiatives and continuous improvement efforts across field operations
What You Bring
10+ years of experience in low voltage, structured cabling, or data center construction leadership
Strong experience managing mission critical or data center environments
Proven ability to lead multiple active project sites and field teams simultaneously
Strong understanding of:
Structured cabling systems
Fiber optic infrastructure
Data center buildouts
Commercial construction practices
OSHA 30 Certification required
BICSI Certification is a plus
Experience with Microsoft Office and project reporting tools; AutoCAD experience preferred
Exceptional leadership, communication, time management, and conflict resolution skills
Ability to motivate teams while maintaining high safety and production standards
Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout Indiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana
Travel & Schedule
Extensive regional travel required
Work schedules may vary based on customer and project demands
Nights, weekends, and extended travel may be required depending on project schedules
