Position Title: Thrift Store Operations Manager

Salary: $45,000- 55,000 per year (BOE)

Shift: 1st Shift  

Hours: Store hours are 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts required.

Thrift Store Operations Manager Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Operate the store to meet profitability objectives and support the Society's mission, promoting respect for all.
- Recruit, hire, and motivate employees; assign duties to meet store objectives.
- Evaluate employee performance annually; maintain personnel records and recommend wage adjustments.
- Work with the volunteer coordinator to recruit, support, and motivate volunteers.
- Maintain excellent customer and donor relations.
- Oversee public relations, sales, and advertising; ensure timely seasonal rotation of merchandise.
-  Order and maintain supplies within budget; ensure professional retail appearance and cleanliness.
- Monitor financial operations, prepare records, and provide data for financial reports.
- Recommend operating policies to the Store Committee and follow their policies, suggestions, and recommendations.

Thrift Store Operations Manager Requirements:
- Three to five years of retail store experience, preferably in management; thrift store experience preferred.
- Knowledge of and support for the mission of this none profit organization. 
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Collaborative style with employees and volunteers.
- Good computer and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Knowledge of thrift store business or nonprofit organizations preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems, Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and Google applications.
- Strong basic math and business skills.
- Conscientious working habits.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- High school diploma or general education (GED).
