Position Title: Stick Packaging Department

Hours: 05:00 am - 03:00 pm (Mon-Thur)

Working a steady first-shift schedule (Monday–Thursday, 5:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.), you’ll operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment while upholding strict quality, safety, GMP, and dietary certification standards. Stick Packaging Department Responsibilities:
- Sets up (assembles and disassembles), operates, adjusts, cleans, and sanitizes equipment to produce products within quality standards and according to procedures.
- Accurately measure and mix raw materials following batch production recipes and formulations.
- Performs minimal maintenance and preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment as required, and when appropriate.
- Assists others in the areas trained as required by production demands or by direction of the Supervisor.
- Prints and applies labels to product.
- Verifies lot and batch numbers and maintains accurate production records and equipment logs.
- Assists in developing and improving SOPs.
- Follow all workplace safety protocols and ensure safe operation of equipment at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Participate in safety training and report any incidents or hazards immediately.
- Work closely with other operators, technicians, and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities using Lean concepts and principles.
- Troubleshoots and/or identifies equipment failures or problems.
- Adhere to Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) requirements when working in environments with airborne contaminants or hazardous materials.
- Maintain required PAPR certification and ensure proper care and usage of all personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Takes necessary samples for QC testing as needed.
- Completes necessary paperwork and/or data entry for production and/or inventory records.
- Adheres to all GMP, including sanitary requirements, Safety, and Standardized Work procedures.
- Adheres to guidelines as set forth by religious dietary law certifications (Kosher and Halal).
Requirements for Stick Packaging Department:
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts to the production process, including conversion of weight and volume in the metric system.
- Ability to read and follow a production journal to produce batches.
- Ability to operate a pallet walker and/or forklift, preferred.
- Ability to use basic hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, wrench) for assembly and disassembly of equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers regarding the status of the production process.
- Basic computer skills. ERP system knowledge (SAP), preferred.
- These characteristics are normally acquired through a High School Diploma or GED, with experience in a production environment preferred
