Responsibilities:
Serve as the on?site lead for structured cabling and systems integration projects
Act as the primary point of contact for technicians, customers, and on?site stakeholders
Oversee daily installation activities and ensure work is completed on time and within scope
Install, terminate, and test structured cabling, fiber optic cabling, and low?voltage systems
Lead teams of technicians, assign tasks, and ensure proper installation methods and quality
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and system layouts
Troubleshoot and resolve cabling or system issues quickly and effectively
Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and system programmers
Track materials, verify deliveries, and maintain accurate jobsite documentation
Ensure adherence to company safety policies, jobsite rules, and industry best practices
Provide field training and mentorship to junior technicians
Requirements:
3+ years of low?voltage installation experience (structured cabling, security, AV, or systems integration)
Prior experience leading or mentoring a team of technicians
Strong knowledge of copper and fiber installation, terminations, and testing
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floorplans, rack elevations, and system docs
Industry certifications (BICSI, manufacturer?specific, or OSHA) are a plus
Proficiency with cable testers, hand tools, and low?voltage installation equipment
Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills
Working knowledge of material tracking, installation documentation, and jobsite standards
Ability to work from ladders and lifts and travel to job sites within North Carolina
