Install, route, and secure outside plant (OSP) fiber optic and copper cabling
Perform underground and aerial cable placement, including conduit, innerduct, and handhole installation
Pull fiber through ducts using proper tension methods and cable lubrication
Splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cables (single-mode and multi-mode)
Conduct OTDR and power meter testing to ensure proper signal strength and continuity
Install and maintain enclosures, pedestals, vaults, and splice cases
Read and interpret utility prints, splice diagrams, and construction drawings
Follow all safety protocols when working around roadways, trenches, and active utilities
Restore work sites to proper condition after installation
Requirements:
Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on OSP fiber installation experience
Experience with underground and/or aerial fiber placement
Familiarity with OTDR testing and fiber troubleshooting
Understanding of telecom infrastructure and outside plant standards
Ability to operate trenchers, boring equipment, or bucket trucks (preferred)
BICSI, OSHA, and lift certifications are a plus
Must have basic hand tools and required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Willingness to travel to job sites within Ohio as needed
