QPS Employment Group is seeking an experienced TIG Welder with expertise in GTAW welding of stainless steel and nickel alloys. The ideal candidate will have experience in process piping and/or sheet metal fabrication and be able to pass an ASME Section IX 6G weld test. Proficiency in reading shop blueprints is required, and experience with P&ID drawings is preferred. This is a potential to hire opportunity in South Beloit, IL.
TIG Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and nickel alloy components
- Fabricate process piping and/or sheet metal systems
- Interpret and work from shop blueprints and technical drawings
- Maintain quality standards in accordance with ASME Section IX specifications
- Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to meet production goals
TIG Welder Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of TIG welding experience required
- Ability to pass ASME Section IX 6G qualification testing
- Strong understanding of shop drawings and technical documentation
- Experience with process piping or sheet metal fabrication
- Familiarity with P&ID drawings is a plus
