Hours: 6:00am - 4:30pm (Monday - Thursday)

Production Lead Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor production, product quality, equipment, safety and overall manufacturing performance
- Manage department related activities including hiring, evaluating performance and discipline. Conduct new employee orientation and training
- Implement and provide oversight on safety and quality policies and procedures
- Recommend improvements in manufacturing methods to Project Managers and Plant Manager
- Monitor production schedules to ensure shipments are made on time
- Actively participate in weekly production meetings and daily huddles
- Monitor inventory and shop supplies to ensure accuracy.
- Enter purchasing requisitions in Epicor for equipment maintenance and supplies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient department layout
- Effectively communicate relevant information in a timely manner to other areas of the organization including sales, purchasing and plant management
- Inspect all work-in-process and finished goods against company quality standards (drawings, job travelers, specifications, work instructions, etc.)
- Monitor, track, and report on key performance indicators
Requirements for Production Lead:
- High school diploma, associate degree preferred
- Background in forklift/overhead crane operation, reading blueprints and use of measurement/analytical tools
- General knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Workplace Safety
- 2-5 years of relevant industrial/manufacturing experience
- Knowledge in Excel, Word or equivalent
- Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Epicor
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and all levels of the organization
- Conflict management/resolution skills
- Ability to work autonomously and self-starter
- Good organizational skills
