Position Title: Maintenance Technician
Wage: $30.00/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm
QPS Employment Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a company in Kenosha, WI. This is a direct hire opportunity on 1st shift.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system issues
- Complete corrective maintenance and repairs on production equipment, tools, and support systems
- Conduct inspections and document maintenance activities, parts used, and repair work performed
- Support installation and setup of new equipment and upgrades as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and assist in maintaining a clean, organized work area
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to support operational goals and continuous improvement efforts
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or vocational certification in maintenance, industrial technology, or related field is a plus
- Previous experience in maintenance or industrial repair preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with electrical systems, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic instrumentation is beneficial
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, work orders, and schematics
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
- Lifting, standing, walking, bending, and working with tools and equipment
- Must be able to perform physical tasks in a manufacturing setting safely and efficiently
