Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and repairs. Diagnosis, repair, and rebuild major equipment/components as needed
- Establish and adjust repair and maintenance procedures and schedules to meet and maintain production schedules
- Advise plant manager if additional work is needed, or cannot be completed in a timely manner
- Inspect quality and completion of third party repairs or service work
- Recommend measures to improve production, equipment performance and product quality
- Perform service calls for emergency or after-hours breakdowns
- Maintain clean, safe, and efficient work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards and commonly established work practices
Requirements for Maintenance Technician:
- At least two years of industrial maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of three phase and single phase motor controls and motorized conveyor systems
- Good mechanical and problem solving skills
- PLC experience is a plus
- Experience in operating forklifts, scissors lifts, with skid steer and wheel loader experience a plus
- Experienced in the operation and use of a wide variety of maintenance equipment including wire feed and stick welders, plasma cutter, drill press, band saws, hand and power tools
- Proficient in welding and metal fabrication
- Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including basic air compressor operation
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work effectively under limited supervision
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, which may include some nights and weekends to support production schedule and the needs of the facility
