Position Title: Maintenance Electrician III
Salary: $70,720-$74,880 per year
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7:00am-3:00pm
QPS Employment Group has a great Maintenance Electrician III position available at a company in Rockford, IL. This is a direct hire position.
Maintenance Electrician III Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Follows all established safety and good manufacturing practices (GMP) for area assigned, company policies and procedures and recognized practices.
- Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
- Installs, examines, replaces, or repairs electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, and other electrical components.
- Tests electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
- Maintains, repairs, installs, and tests switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors.
- Maintains, repairs, tests, and installs electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
- Troubleshoots, maintains and repairs industrial control systems and related devices including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), distributed control systems, Servos, Drives and Robotic Controllers.
- Conducts preventive maintenance programs and keeps accurate maintenance records.
- May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices as required.
- Assist and train production employees in proper operation and maintenance of machinery.
Maintenance Electrician III Requirements:
- Must possess a two-year Associates degree in electrical related field; and other technical certifications and training applicable to industrial maintenance electrical system in a manufacturing environment.
- Must possess a minimum of four-five years industrial maintenance electrician experience.
- Must be able to come to work promptly and regularly.
- Must be able to take direction and work well with others.
- Must be able to work under the stress of deadlines.
- Must be able to concentrate and perform accurately.
- Must be able to react to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned.
