Responsibilities:
Pull, terminate, dress, and label fire alarm cable
Test all installed cable using appropriate testing equipment
Terminate fire alarm panels and devices
Read and interpret fire alarm system layouts from blueprints
Troubleshoot and service existing fire alarm systems
Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights)
Install, troubleshoot, service, and program/commission security and access control devices
Install door hardware (mag locks, electric strikes, etc.)
Install, service, and troubleshoot CCTV systems
Read and interpret access control and CCTV blueprints
Support additional low voltage systems as needed at commercial and industrial sites (schools, hospitals, offices, warehouses, etc.)
Requirements:
3+ years demonstrated work history/knowledge in Fire Alarm Systems
Understanding of NEC and NFPA requirements (current codes)
Experience troubleshooting panels, devices, and programming systems (Edwards, Silent Knight, FireLite, etc. a plus)
BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications a plus
Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
Willingness to travel to job sites within Tennessee as needed
