Job Description
Job Purpose/Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving clerk are responsible for receiving incoming parts and properly label, help to gather parts for assembly team when needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare domestic & international shipments in accordance with shipping requirements & specifications.Â
Receive all incoming materials, supplies, equipment & returned goods.Â
Check received good against purchase orders or receiving papers.Â
Check quantity, type, size, part numbers, dimensions, etc. to properly identify materials.Â
Route or deliver materials to storage or manufacturing locations.Â
Maintain records & prepare receiving & shipping reports.Â
Help load & unload trucks.Â
Operate crane to lift, transport and position loads requiring skill & care in handling up to the capacity of the equipment. Use proper rigging methods.
Backup for Logistics coordinator.
Receive in kits and do follow up until kit is complete.
Responsible for receiving all goods including raw steel and processed kits.
Maintain work areas; always keep organized, clean and safe; indoors and outdoors.
Before leaving for the day make sure all forklifts are parked inside.
Pull kits and bring into the assemblers for assembly.
Perform in-process testing and inspection to ensure parts meet production specifications and standards.
Detect and report defective materials to the Supervisor.
Organize parts and monitor stock levels.
Complete any special projects as required. May be assigned to other areas of Operations, based on business or customer requirements.
Willing to work overtime as required.
Communication:
Use proper call-in procedures.

Be clear and courteous to co-workers, customers, and outside sources.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Knowledge in shipping & receiving industry preferred.
Â
1-2 years of experience in S & R preferred.
Â
Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, assembly, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, technical drawing, and procedural manuals.
Able to work in a quality-production environment; keep a clean workstation, multi-task, meet production deadlines, be organized, detail orientated, dedication, problem solving and teamwork.
Safety and Training Responsibilities:
Use safety devices, PPE, and other tools to maintain a safe environment.

Observe health and safety signs, posters, warning signals and written directions.
Â
Follow safe practices: OSHA, SDS, PPE.
Â
Work in compliance with all Administrative, H&S policies and safety procedures as per legislative requirements.
Â
Actively participate in orientation and on-going training programs by the organization.
Report any real or potential safety/health hazard, practices, &/or conditions to the Supervisor. Report all accidents, incidents or near misses to the Supervisor as well.
