Position Title: Shipping Associate
Wage: $18.00/hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Hours: 6:00 AM-4:30 PM Monday - Friday

Shipping Associate Responsibilities:
- Process outgoing shipments
- Responsible for monitoring and loading outbound shipments on the scheduled ship date to meet or exceed all shipping schedule goals
- Determine and develop best packaging options for shipments, ensuring the security and safety of the product
- Develop and maintain accurate outbound shipping documentation for all domestic and international outbound shipments to include bills-of-lading and packing lists
- Communicate effectively with internal departments to effectively and professionally coordinate efforts to get shipments delivered on time
- Willingly looks for and shares ideas in the development of enhancing current methods and procedures within the department and in complimentary departments
- Picking up and loading of shipping orders onto designated outbound transportation arrangement
- Keeps shipping area organized and clean and complies with all safety standards and policies
- Other duties may be assigned
Requirements For Shipping Associate:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in shipping, receiving, negotiations, transportation logistics in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Forklift certification and experience required
- Possesses knowledge of shipping department processes and procedures and how they relate to the operation of a manufacturing facility
- Customer service focus with strong attention to detail
- Highly organized with sense of urgency and ability to multi-task
- Self- motivated, self-starter who can perform duties with minimal amount of supervision
- Knowledge and understanding of safety standards and policies
- Must frequently lift and/or move 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Frequently required to walk, talk, hear, stand, and sit
- Approximately 80% of time spent on shipping dock standing and loading/unloading trucks
- Frequently required to stop, lift, kneel, and crouch
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
