Position Title: Shipping Assistant
Wage: $20-$23/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7am-4pm Monday-Friday, Subject to overtime

Shipping Assistant Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist with checking in truck drivers
- Answer phone calls
- Assist with checking emails for inbound/outbound shipments
- Operate inventory warehouse management system effectively, including, but not limited to, creating outbounds, scanning finished goods, and using item locator
- Ensure all information on ship orders match shipping labels
- Provide dock assignments to Logistics Scheduler as external truck drivers arrive
- Ensure finished goods are safely and efficiently loaded onto trucks
- Use web-based quality management system to perform quality inspections
- Ensure accuracy of all shipping documents prior to providing them to external truck drivers
- Plan warehousing locations for all finished goods
- Perform internal location audits
- Operate forklift as needed
- Serve as a backup to Shipping Coordinator
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety rules
- Ability to work a flexible schedule if necessary
- Attendance is an essential function of the role
Shipping Assistant Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have good English written and verbal communication skills
- Good arithmetic skills are required
- General proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Prior shipping experience in a warehouse setting
- Prior sit-down forklift experience
- Preferred Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, grip, reach, push, and pull with both hands
- Must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift/move 75 pounds
- Ability to stand for 8+ hours per day
