Shipping Responsibilities:
- lnterfacing work between all departments and the handling and processing materials into and out of the area
- Must be able to operate all equipment in the Materials area
- Must be able to properly identify the destination of materials being shipped and ensure proper shipping containers are used
- Must be familiar with receiving methods and be able to interface with other departments to ensure proper receipt and disbursement of materials
- The Expediter shall also be qualified to make transfers of intra factory materials to meet shipping and production schedules. Accountable for process, evaluation, measurement, documentation, and improvement on a continuous basis
- Participate in department and process team activities and projects
- Performs any other duties assigned by the Department Manager or Leader
- Must be able to work over time with little or no notice
Requirements for Shipping:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have the ability to identify various grades and sizes of raw material (bar stock & tubing)
- Use some measuring instruments such as caliper or a scale
- Required to have a high school diploma/GED
- Previous industrial experience is plus
- Must understand/communicate/speak/read/write English
- Must have valid Driver's License
- Able to lift up to 25lbs on a regular basis
- Bending at waist
- Twisting at waist/arms
- Stand for 8+ hours daily
- Able to withstand humid weather during summer months
