Set-Up Technician Responsibilities:
- Performing set-up, changeover, teardown, and maintenance of extrusion tooling and related equipment
- Operating extruder and auxiliary downstream equipment
- Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment as required
- Producing quality products by following extrusion set-up sheets, work instructions, and company procedures
- Completing dimensional charts, check sheets, and all required production documentation accurately and on time
- Updating set-up sheets and related documents as processes or specifications change
- Inspecting parts to specification using precision measuring and testing equipment
- Troubleshooting extrusion process issues and providing technical support to operators and other lines as needed
- Participating in root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventative corrections
- Preparing cartons, skids, and tooling for upcoming orders to support production flow
- Maintaining clean, organized, and safe work environment
Requirements for Set-Up Technician:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in plastic extrusion set-up and operation; prior forklift experience
- Ability to read and follow technical documentation and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
- Standing/walking for 8-10 hours in fast-paced environment; lifting 50 pounds regularly
