We are seeking a detail-oriented Sorter / Quality Inspector to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for visually inspecting products, identifying defects, and ensuring only quality-approved items move forward for shipment. This position is ideal for someone who can stay focused on repetitive tasks and work independently while maintaining high standards. This is a temporary position in Fort Dodge, IA.
Sorter / Quality Inspection Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Inspect cans and lids for visible defects or quality issues
- Sort and separate acceptable products from defective items
- Rework and repackage approved products as needed
- Place defective items into designated recycling containers
- Work on an elevated platform to place materials on machines for production
- Perform general housekeeping duties (sweeping, dusting, mopping) to maintain a clean work area
Sorter / Quality Inspection Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay focused on repetitive work
- Ability to follow quality standards and make accurate decisions
- Reliable attendance and ability to work independently
- Previous manufacturing or quality inspection experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally
- Ability to regularly lift 8-12 pounds materials
- Ability to climb stairs and work on elevated platforms
- Ability to bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive hand movements
