Position Title: Quality Assurance
Wage: $18-$20/hour
Shift: 3rd (start on 1st shift, will transition to 3rd)
Don’t miss this opportunity for a company in Springfield, MO. This Quality Assurance role is a temporary assignment for two months, from mid-Feb to mid-April. The first three weeks will be during 1st shift, then transition to 3rd shift for the last week of training and month of coverage.
Quality Assurance Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Pouching/packaging area release by verifying starting components, equipment cleanliness, and room cleanliness
- Batch Production Record (BPR) review for completeness prior to starting pouching and packaging
In-process checks/tests of pouches, boxes, and cartons made on the pouching line
- Final inspection of product: BPR review for completeness, label check, weight check, and visual inspection
- Assist in quality control or technical service functions as needed
Quality Assurance Requirements:
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- 2 years of quality assurance in a food, supplement, or pharmaceutical company preferred
- Working knowledge of good manufacturing practices and quality assurance fundamentals
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50lbs
- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials
- Able to identify and distinguish colors, see clearly at 20 inches or closer and 20 feet or more
- Must be able to pass respiratory exam and fit test
- Ability to work while wearing PPE, including respirator (which requires minimal to no facial hair)
- Regularly involves going up and down stairs
- Regularly talking or listening, sitting, and the use of hands and fingers
- Occasionally crouching, stooping, kneeling, and/or climbing or balancing
