Position Title: Production Line Operator
Wage: $18/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 5:45am-4:30pm
Are you a dynamic Machine Operator with proven expertise in leading production teams and ensuring seamless operations across all equipment and lines? We are seeking a Machine Operator skilled in setup, changeovers, minor mechanical adjustments, and equipment sanitation. The ideal candidate will champion safety, quality, and 5S standards. Proficient in Redzone quality checks, downtime tracking, and completing production documentation. Committed to maintaining compliance with certifications such as HACCP, SQF, Organic, and Kosher, ensuring top-tier quality and operational excellence.
Production Line Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead team operating the applicable production line
- Champion safety and quality guidelines and maintain 5s in the production department
- Prepare production equipment for runs, including proper safety checks and documentation
- Operate all production equipment and conduct efficient product changeovers
- Maintain production areas in proper state of cleanliness and follow all SOPs; follow GMPs and keep company in compliance with certifications (Organic, Kosher, HACCP, SQF, etc.)
- Perform Redzone production counts, quality checks, and downtime recording
- Properly handle blends and materials and report on defective ingredients or machinery
Production Line Operator Requirements:
- Must lift to 50lbs
- Stand entire shift
- Proven communication, teamwork, and leadership skills; strong ability and willingness to problem solve
- Previous food manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, and PPE requirements
- Knowledge of manual and power jack and forklift operation (training will be provided, as necessary)
- Basic computer skills: Redzone experience a plus, but not required
- Good communication and teamwork skills
