Position Title: Production
Wage: $15.00 per hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 5:00am-5:00pm (Mon-Fri)
QPS Employment Group has a great Production position at a company in Mount Pleasant, IA. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.
Production Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist with the layout and setup of precast production beds and product forms.
- Pull strand and support the tensioning process.
- Assist with installing plates, rebar, wire, insulation, lifters, blockouts, reveals, and anchors.
- Perform tasks such as tying rebar, grinding, buffing, cutting wire, pulling steps, and jumping bases.
- Support concrete pouring and vibrating processes.
- Assist with caulking as needed.
- Operate battery-powered and small hand tools.
- Assist in stripping, changeover, and setup of forms for different product types.
- Support layout of dunnage on trailers for placement of finished products for shipping.
- Follow detailed directions that may involve multiple steps.
- Maintain clean work areas, machines, tools, and equipment.
- Follow all company and OSHA safety rules.
- Comply with company attendance policies.
- Perform additional routine duties as assigned.
Production Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Manual labor job experience required.
- Blueprint reading experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to stand for up to 12 hours and work up to 65 hours per week.
- Ability to work in a hot environment.
- Ability to bend and kneel for extended periods.
