QPS Employment Group has a great Production position at a company in Platteville, WI. This is a 3rd shift position with the opportunity for hire.
Production Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the operation of machinery and equipment used in the cheese making process to ensure smooth operation and efficient production
- Work closely with other production associates and team members to ensure efficient workflow to meet production targets
- Load and unload raw materials and cheese using food manufacturing equipment including hoists and or conveyor systems
- Safely and efficiently move products and materials within the facility, following proper handling procedures
- Ensure all equipment and materials are set up and readily available for production activities
- Observe and monitor production lines to ensure the smooth flow of operations
- Conduct regular quality checks and completes quality documentation to ensure compliance with specification and standards
- Ensure accurate labeling
- Clean and maintain equipment, tools and work areas following proper sanitation and cleaning procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Adhere to ERU food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations (ex. FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA)
- Adhere to safety guidelines and complies with all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Attend safety and department meetings and completes all required training in a timely manner
- Identify and report potential safety hazards to ensure a safe working environment
Production Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a cheese making or food manufacturing environment is preferred
- Ability to safely operate electric pallet jacks
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products
- Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods of time
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to change
- Ability to work overtime or extend shifts as needed
