Job Description
Position Title: Press Brake Operator
Wage: $25.00 per hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm
QPS Employment Group has a great Press Brake Operator position available at a company in Franksville, WI. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.
Press Brake Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Utilize various tools and machinery to cut, bend, and shape metal according to design specifications.
- Assemble sheet metal components with accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform intricate work with galvanized steel.
- Operate Forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the facility.
- Issue material for production and accurately report material quantities.
- Conduct routine inventory counts, including participation in biannual physical inventories.
- Safely operate and maintain tools and equipment, including shears, brakes, punches, and jib cranes.
- Ensure machinery is in good working condition and report any malfunctions to the maintenance team.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and design specifications.
- Make necessary adjustments to ensure high-quality outputs.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols when handling materials and operating equipment.
Press Brake Operator Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or a similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to perform intricate sheet metal work.
- Experience with forklift operation and material handling.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials up to 75 lbs.
- Capable of standing, bending, and moving for extended periods during shifts.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Forklift certification preferred but not required; training may be provided.
