Position Title: Picker Packer
Wage: $22.00/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm
QPS Employment Group is hiring a Picker Packer for a company in Libertyville, IL. This position plays a critical role in supporting the manufacturing and assembly process by ensuring the right materials are delivered to the correct workstations in a timely and efficient manner. Picker Packer Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Pick lighting components, such as LED boards, housings, lenses, drivers, wiring, and mounting hardware
- Review and interpret production orders, pick tickets, and part numbers
- Stage picked items at assigned assembly stations or production areas
- Operate handheld scanners and inventory systems to document material movement
- Perform regular cycle counts and assist with inventory control accuracy
- Identify and report inventory issues, damaged items, or shortages
- Coordinate with production staff to prioritize orders and minimize downtime
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and proper handling procedures for electrical and fragile components
- Follow safety protocols while handling materials and operating equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts if
certified)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Picker Packer Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1+ year of warehouse or manufacturing picking experience preferred
- Experience in lighting or electrical component handling is a plus
- Ability to read and understand pick lists, part numbers, and basic product drawings
- Familiarity with ERP/WMS inventory systems (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Work is performed in a warehouse or manufacturing environment; may involve exposure to moving equipment, moderate noise, and temperature changes
- Standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching throughout shift
