Position Title: Painter
Wage: $20.00 per hour
Shift: 2nd
Hours: 3:00pm-1:30am
QPS Employment Group has a great Painter position available at a company in Monroe, WI. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your painting skills within the automotive industry, contributing to high-quality vehicle finishes. You'll be part of a team dedicated to precision and safety, working with state-of-the-art equipment in a dynamic environment.
Shipping Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Spray surfaces of vehicles and manufactured products with protective or decorative coatings such as paint, epoxies, or primers.
- Clean grease and dirt from surfaces prior to painting.
- Fill cavities and dents with putty, perform mudworks, scuff, and sand to achieve smooth surfaces.
- Mix coating liquids to produce desired colors and consistencies.
- Operate spray guns, adjusting valves and nozzles to control spray width and pressure.
- Apply primer or finish coats, including inaccessible areas with brushes as needed.
- Cover cabs and parts not to be coated with masking tape and protective coverings.
- Verify paint matches specifications and ensures quality of work.
- Clean spraying equipment and brushes with solvents after use.
- Remove rust from metal surfaces using acid, wire brushes, or steel wool.
Shipping Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance; heavier lifts with assistance.
- Comfortable working in various positions, including squatting, kneeling, bending, and working above head.
- Capable of working from ladders.
- Proficient in the safe use of hand tools, air, pneumatic, and power equipment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and layout instructions.
- Visual acuity including close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to measure accurately.
