Position Title: Packer
Wage: $17.00/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Packer to join our operations team in Libertyville, IL. The Packer is responsible for accurately preparing, packing, and labeling products for shipment while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role requires the ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Packer Responsibilities:
- Pack, seal and label products according to company standards and customer specifications
- Inspect items for defects, quality issues or inconsistencies before packing
- Assemble boxes, containers and packaging materials
- Maintain accurate counts of materials and finished goods
- Follow safety procedures and use proper lifting techniques for items up to 50 lbs
- Keep workstations clean, organized and free of hazards
- Assist with inventory, stocking and material movement as needed
- Work collaboratively with production, shipping and warehouse teams to meet daily goals
Requirements for Packer:
- Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic reading, writing and math skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Previous warehouse, packing, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Familiarity with shipping systems and labeling equipment preferred
- Basic computer skills is a plus
