Packer Responsibilities:
- Understand packing methods and carton sizes including the location of boxes within manufacturing area
- Assemble of boxes or cartons
- Count and place inspected finished products which meet specifications into the appropriate box or carton, closing and labeling boxes and stacking boxes onto skid
- Use calipers (inside and outside), gauges, other measuring devices and “samples” to ensure quality- finished product meets specifications
Requirements for Packer:
- Able to read blueprint drawings, specification sheet and shop orders to determine package requirements, product specification and dimensions and material requirements
