QPS Employment Group is hiring a Packager in Elk Grove Village, IL. This company is an industry-leading supplier of 3M Tape, 3M Abrasives, 3M Adhesives, 3M Products and a complete variety of industrial tapes. This position is responsible for packing customer orders in accordance with customer requirements and company packaging standards. Packager Responsibilities:
- Packages items securely, follows packaging instructions based on pick ticket instructions.
- Operate the shrink wrap, bagger, and sealer.
- Conduct final quality assurance checks and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Production Manager.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Assist with other department needs as necessary
Requirements for Packager:
- Ability to align product output with ISO 9001 standards.
- Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, good math skills, problem solving ability and attention to detail.
- Capable of working productively on several tasks simultaneously, and switch among them quickly to meet prioritized production needs.
- Physical ability to do work requiring frequent standing, stooping and bending.
- Physical strength sufficient to lift and carry 25 pounds frequently.
