Position Title: Production Supervisor
Wage: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Shift: 2nd
Hours: 3:00pm-11:30pm (training 7:00am-3:00pm)
QPS Employment Group has a great Production Supervisor position available at a company in Hazelwood, MO. This is a 2nd shift position with the opportunity for hire.
Production Supervisor Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production personnel across assigned shifts.
- Ensure production schedules are met in a timely, efficient, and safe manner.
- Monitor and maintain quality control standards and address any issues that may arise with product quality or consistency.
- Oversee mold changes, machine startups, and troubleshooting, working closely with Process Technicians and Maintenance teams as needed.
- Promote and enforce safety protocols, conduct safety audits, and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Coach, train, and develop team members to improve skills and increase productivity.
- Monitor employee performance, conduct evaluations, and participate in disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with other departments including Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and HR to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Track and report on production KPIs such as cycle times, scrap rates, downtime, and labor utilization.
- Assist with staffing decisions, including interviewing, onboarding, and scheduling.
Production Supervisor Requirements:
- 1+ years of supervisory or lead experience in plastic injection molding or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of injection molding processes, equipment, and materials.
- Proven leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and hold teams accountable.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable using basic computer systems and production software for scheduling and reporting.
