Our client in Manitowoc, WI is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day production activities, ensuring on-time delivery, high quality standards, and efficient workflow across assigned areas. This role oversees a team of technicians, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and supports lean manufacturing practices.
Production Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily production operations, schedules, staffing, and workflow to meet delivery and quality goals
- Maintain strong communication with technicians, cross-functional teams, and leadership
- Implement and support Lean/CI initiatives including 6S, VSM, Kaizen, JIT, and cellular manufacturing
- Monitor performance, coach team members, and support training and development
- Ensure a safe, clean, and efficient work environment
- Assist with administrative tasks, issue resolution, and process improvements
Requirements for Production Supervisor:
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, or business preferred; equivalent experience considered
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing / fabrication environment
- Hands-on experience with Lean methodologies (6S, VSM, JIT, cellular manufacturing)
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems
- Knowledge of OSHA and safety practices
