Mill Operator Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating milk filters for agricultural needs
- Maintain proper levels of material for nonwoven operations
- Fill fiber meters
- Weigh and check fiber dumps
- Mix batches of binder
- Maintain proper binder level in system
- Adjust saturator screen for proper tracking
- Complete shift data collection forms
- Troubleshoot and make machine adjustments
- Assist group leader in various nonwovens operations
- Clean equipment as needed to maintain quality product
- Repair machinery as needed, changing worn belts, greasing equipment and checking bearings
- Maintain binder bulk storage tanks
- Run conversion equipment when needed
Requirements for Mill Operator:
- Able to be self-motivated and independent
- Able to stand for duration of shift
- Strong attention to detail
- Good mechanical skills
- Good observation and troubleshooting skills
- Willingness to learn
