Position Title: Metal Handler
Wage: $17.00/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm
Join a growing manufacturing team in Grinnell, IA that produces commercial and industrial sheet metal products used in construction projects across the country. We are looking for dependable Metal Handlers to support production by moving materials, packing finished products, and assisting with general warehouse duties. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with overtime available.
Metal Handler Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and package sheet metal materials, parts, and finished products
- Move materials throughout the facility and assist with production as needed
- Handle fiberglass insulation, adhesives, sealants, and paint products safely
- Operate a forklift when trained and assigned
- Read shop orders and use a tape measure to ensure accuracy
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Perform general warehouse and janitorial duties
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
Requirements for Metal Handler:
- Ability to read a tape measure and shop orders
- Ability to read and understand English
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 70 pounds
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
