Position Title: Material Handler / Shipping
Wage: $18.06 - $23.65/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm (Monday - Friday) OR 6:30am – 3:00pm (Monday - Thursday), 6:30am - 5:00pm (Friday)
A leading manufacturer in Grayslake, IL of highly engineered mechanical and electromechanical locking devices, systems for world class original equipment manufacturers and manufacture of precision instruments, throttles, marine products, and accessories.
The candidate should be self-motivated, multi-tasking individual who has good communication and interpersonal skills. Apply to this 1st shift Material Handler / Shipping opportunity!
Material Handler / Shipping Responsibilities:
- Prepare parts for shipping to outside vendors (transaction and physical preparation)
- Load and unload packages from incoming trucks
- Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
- Receive, pick/pull, and ship material via UPS, FedEx, etc.Â
- Deliver parts to respective areas in the plant
- Transfer material in/out of stockroom
- Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, etc.)
- Perform Cycle counts and transact material in ERP system
- Perform all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods
- Put away product/material
- Ship and receive material (need to understand / perform transactions in the system)
Requirements for Material Handler / Shipping:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to lift or move up to 35 lbs
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs
- Knowledge of ERP system is a plus
- Ability to drive all powered equipment (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, tugger, etc.)
- Ability to constantly stand and walk throughout workday
- Ability to perform repetitive motions
- SyteLine knowledge preferred
