QPS Employment Group is hiring a Material Handler for a company in Elgin, IL. In this role, you'll play a vital role in supporting the production process by efficiently managing material flow and ensuring seamless operations. Material Handler Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist inspectors and packers with the transportation and handling of approved products and supplies
- Grind and process raw materials as part of daily operations
- Complete and maintain accurate material documentation to ensure traceability and compliance
- Maintain company standards and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment
- Stage materials needed for injection molding machines, including preparing packaging at the end of production runs
- Operate and clean grinders, dryers, hoppers, loaders, presses, cleaning rooms, and filters to maintain equipment efficiency
- Mix resin and other materials accurately according to specifications
- Participate in daily improvement meetings, shift huddles, plant-wide meetings, and book clubs to foster team communication and continuous improvement
Material Handler Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous warehouse/material handle experience preferred
- Basic math skills for measurement and documentation
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude
- Hands-on worker with the ability to follow safety procedures meticulously
- Ability to lift at least 55 pounds comfortably
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
