Job Description

Position Title: Maintenance Technician

Wage: $29.00-$31.00 per hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6:00am-2:00pm (Mon-Fri)

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performs preventive maintenance and daily production line maintenance on all production equipment in addition to performing daily production and material handling tasks throughout the entire production line (from receiving raw material to loading finished product onto trailers).
- Inspects and identifies equipment in need of repair.
- Utilizes manuals and on-line research to determine necessary equipment repairs.
- Orders supplies and materials needed for repair and maintenance.
- Maintains and operates production equipment.
- Performs daily product testing and production checks.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and accurately. Maintains accurate inventory records and provides counts and other record-keeping functions as needed.
- Fills in other warehouse functions as needed and assists with daily shut down of production, including daily production line maintenance.
- Uses Forklift to move raw materials and finished goods around the plant and on/off semitrailers.
- Keeps the warehouse neat and organized; assists with trailer cleaning as needed.
- Acts as back-up for Plant Manager for PTO or other OOTO situations.

Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- 5 years of maintenance experience preferred.
- 1-2 year’s forklift and skid steer experience preferred.
- Production line maintenance: 2 years (Required)
- High School degree or equivalent.
- Must complete criminal background check and 4-panel drug screen.
- Comfort with basic math
- Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Communicate effectively with all members of the company to ensure proper exchange of information.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
- Must be able to perform math functions (addition, division, multiplication, subtraction) accurately.
- Must be able to drive a forklift safely.
- Must comply and ensure compliance with all safety, OSHA, FSMA and company policies.
- Must be willing to work extra hours on short notice to ensure steady operations
