Job Description

Position Title: Maintenance Technician - Journeyman

Wage: $35.00 - $38.00/hour; Double Time on Sundays With Overtime After 12 Hours

Shift: 12 Hour Weekend Nights

Hours: 6:00pm - 6:00am (Friday - Sunday); Training on 1st shift (7:00am – 3:00pm) for up to three months

We are seeking highly skilled, experienced Maintenance Technicians looking for a Direct Hire opportunity with a leading manufacturer in Oshkosh offering great pay and long-term stability. This company is a top supplier of high-performance PETG packaging for medical devices and values safety, teamwork, and technical excellence. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience, hold a Journeyman Card, and bring strong communication, problem-solving, and self-motivation skills. Weekend night shift with the ability to train on 1st shift for up to 3 months.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment
- Diagnose and repair high-speed manufacturing machinery
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks and failure analysis
- Read blueprints and technical documents
- Safely install, assemble, and repair mechanical and electrical components
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
- Communicate with maintenance teams on other shifts
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and confined space protocols

Requirements for Maintenance Technician:
- Journeyman License required (Electrician or Electro-Mechanical)
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Safety-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Willingness to work overtime and holidays as needed
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completed Mechanical or Electrical Apprenticeship plus 3+ years of experience OR Associate’s Degree (or higher) in Electrical/Mechanical field plus 3+ years of experience OR Equivalent military training OR 7+ years as an industrial maintenance mechanic/electrician
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work at heights
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and occasionally outdoors
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise
