Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance projects, both preventative and emergency, including operation and testing of filling equipment, pumps, mixers, compressors, labelers and sleeving equipmentÂ
- Assist in the development and administering of preventative maintenance scheduleÂ
- In cooperation with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Coordinator, update preventative maintenance checklists
- Assist in the development of complete library of parts and operating manuals for equipment and plantÂ
- Manage maintenance tools and parts inventoryÂ
- Recommend and cost equipment and parts to complete preventative maintenance projectsÂ
- Operate heavy equipment including fork trucksÂ
- Operate of power tools including drills, saws and grindersÂ
Requirements for Maintenance Technician:
- Flexible and adaptable with regards to performing a wide range of maintenance duties and functions
- Demonstrable aptitude and experience in mechanical, electrical and pneumatic system repairs and maintenance
- General math skills
- Ability to communicate both verbally and written to both vendors and managers
- General computer and email competency
- Experience working with high-speed net weigh fillers, automated cappers, close tolerance gear driven pump fillers, pressure sensitive and auto sleeve labelers and printers, automated palletizing equipment, automated carton forming and case packing equipment highly desirable
- Experience with 24 vdc low voltage, circuit boards and servo motors highly desirable
