QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Machine Operator at a company in Two Rivers, WI. This is a potential to hire position for 1st shift. Apply now!
Machine Operator Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates knowledge of and proper use of machine specific controls
- Ensures proper air pressure is supplied
- Ensures paths of in-feed and out-feed have no obstructions to material and operator
- Powers up machine and verifies proper operating settings
- Verifies core material thickness
- Recognizes machine-based defects and the adjustment/maintenance solutions
- Loads program and/or adjusts machine for given material
- Sets up and adjusts all processing stations
- Corrects basic processing defects
- Produces parts which exhibit acceptable glue line with minimal glue residue
- Powers down machine in accordance with machine manual
- Creates, modifies or edits programs
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Plant Manager
- Verifies correct quality and all machining requirements are met
- Checks off paperwork and other required documents
Requirements for Machine Operator:
- High School Diploma or at least three years of factory related experience in a manufacturing environment
- Able to read and understand documents such as blueprints, factory orders and instructional documents
- Good communication skills
- Basic math skills that include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Able to frequently lift and or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 100 pounds
