QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Machine Operator at a company in Manitowoc, WI. This is a potential to hire position for all shifts, apply today!
Machine Operator Responsibilities:
- Performs typical machine operations to support production and shipping.
- Detects and reports defective materials or question able conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per the P.M. charts
- Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: de-burring, molding and all bench operations and inspect.
- Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up.
- Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.
Requirements for Machine Operator:
- Minimum of High School Diploma
- Prior production experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
- Mechanical and electrical skills, metal fabrication, ability to read blueprints and schematics preferred
- Ability to utilize computer platforms to access work instructions
- Safety Awareness-Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety
- Ability to read, speak, and comprehend English is required
- Ability to perform critical thinking and problem solving
- High attention to detail
- Ability to perform simple math and measurements
