Position Title: Machine Operator – 1st Shift
Wage: $17.00/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 5am–3:30pm (Monday–Thursday), 5am–1:30pm (Alternating Fridays)

Machine Operator Responsibilities:
- Read work orders and production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting/folding lines, and dimensions and tolerances
- Position guides, stops, holding blocks, or other fixtures to secure and direct work pieces, using hand tools and measuring devices
- Start machines, choose correct program for desired part, monitor their operations and record operational data
- Position, align, and secure work pieces against fixtures or stops on machine beds or on dies
- Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates or rulers
- Examine completed work pieces for defects such as chipped edges and marred surfaces, sort defective pieces according to types of flaws and record it properly
- Perform routine maintenance including cleaning and lubricating machines
- Grind out burrs and sharp edges, using portable grinders
- Uses forklifts to move parts as necessary
Requirements for Machine Operator:
- High school diploma or GED
- Background in manufacturing/metal fabrication
- Power tool experience
- Experience in CNC operation is a plus
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
- Able to stand, sit, walk, bend and twist throughout shift
