This is a 1st shift position located in Rockford, IL with the opportunity for hire.
Post Forge Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operate overhead cranes and sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret manufacturing orders to identify steel type and cut size.
- Use tape measures, calipers, and basic math skills to ensure precise measurements.
- Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. throughout shifts.
- Operation of Tumble blaster.
- Grinding.
Post Forge Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently.
- Prior experience with overhead cranes and forklifts is preferred.
- Basic proficiency in reading tape measures, calipers, and performing simple calculations.
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing orders.
- 2+ years grinding, fabrication, mechanically inclined, measuring tools.
