Job Description

Position Title: Fermentation Operator

Wage:  $25.00 -$30.00/hour
 
Shift: 1st

Hours: 06:00 am - 03:30 pm (10 hour days, 7 days on and 7 off)

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Fermentation Operator at a company in Franksville, WI. This is a potential to hire position for 1st shift. Apply now! 

Fermentation Operator Responsibilities:
- Has the ability to physically perform and complete necessary documentation for the following tasks
- Weigh media and cryoprotectant for production batches
- Perform palletization
- Clean rooms and equipment for production, excluding CIP/SIP of large equipment 
- Ability to properly fill out room logs
- Understands how to navigate the HMI in order to see what status equipment is currently in
- Make media for INLA and fermenters 
- Make cryoprotectant
- Use autoclave to sterilize equipment/media
- Perform all master sanitation tasks associated with department
- Follows operating discipline policies, principles, procedures, standards and practices to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of assigned areas. 
- Proactively identifies improvements and opportunities utilizing improvement processes, appropriate management of change processes, and communication tools
- Perform sanitation duties per established frequency and procedures 
- Comply with plant safety rules and maintain work area in a clan and orderly condition 

Requirements for Fermentation Operator:
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months of related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge and experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) preferred 
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using while numbers, common fractions, and decimals 
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
