Low Voltage Installation Technician | Brookfield, WI
Join Next Level Technician as a Low Voltage Installation Technician in Appleton, WI! Responsibilities:
Pull, terminate, dress, label, test, and troubleshoot CAT5e/CAT6 and fiber optic cabling
Test installed copper and fiber cabling using Fluke or similar testers
Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF, etc.
Perform fiber optic installation, termination, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting
Install and support voice/data, DAS, security, access control, wireless, nurse call, CCTV, and audio/visual systems
Punch down voice and data jacks
Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights)
Read and interpret blueprints/system layouts
Install and support access control, CCTV, audio visual, and fiber optic systems
Requirements:
3+Â years of commercial or industrial low voltage experience
Experience with structured cabling, fiber optics, voice/data, security, or related low-voltage systems
Fiber optic installation, termination, splicing, testing, or troubleshooting experience preferred
Working knowledge of telecommunications, data networks, cabling, connectivity, and related hardware/software
BICSI, PMP, lift, and OSHA certifications are a plus
Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
Working knowledge of telecom and data networks
Willingness to travel to job sites throughout Wisconsin as needed
Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting, climbing 6'+ ladders/lifts, overhead and tight-space work, cable pulling, and frequent local/out-of-state travel as needed
Flexible schedule to accommodate occasional nights, weekends, and holidays
