We're seeking a detail-oriented estimator who can turn complex project requirements into accurate, competitive bids while collaborating with vendors, subcontractors, operations teams, and customers to drive winning outcomes. Position Summary The Low Voltage Estimator is responsible for reviewing project documents, performing takeoffs, developing labor and material estimates, and preparing professional proposals for commercial low voltage projects. This role is critical to project success, helping ensure bids are accurate, competitive, and aligned with customer expectations and operational capabilities. Responsibilities Review drawings, specifications, bid documents, and RFPs to fully understand project scope and requirements
Perform electronic takeoffs using Bluebeam or similar estimating software
Develop accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor estimates
Build detailed bills of materials (BOMs) and pricing models
Solicit, evaluate, and level vendor and subcontractor quotes
Identify scope gaps, risks, inconsistencies, and value engineering opportunities
Prepare professional proposals including scope, assumptions, exclusions, and pricing details
Coordinate with operations and estimating leadership to validate pricing strategies before submission
Participate in project turnover and kickoff meetings following project award
Track market pricing trends and maintain estimating databases and tools
Maintain strong communication with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders Systems You'll Support

Requirements 3+ years of experience in low voltage estimating, project coordination, preconstruction, or related construction environments
Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Experience developing estimates and proposals across low voltage systems
Experience coordinating with vendors, subcontractors, and project teams
Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with Bluebeam Revu or similar takeoff software
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and MS Project
Experience with estimating software and project management tools
Familiarity with Smartsheet, MiField, or similar platforms
BICSI knowledge or pursuit of BICSI certifications
