Position Title: Lead - Picking & Packing
Wage: $20/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7:30am-4pm

This is a contract to hire opportunity in Grandview, MO.
Lead - Picking & Packing Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage a team to ensure orders for all clients located in pick and pack and its project area, are picked, packed, and shipped by the expected ship day
- Assign side work to pick and pack Warehouse Associates to ensure pick and pack is kept clean and ready for the proceeding workday or future projects
- Ensure returns or inbounds for customers in the pick and pack department are received within 2 business days of notification
- Respond to tickets assigned to pick and pack in Freshdesk
- Create tickets for any issues with fulfilling orders and work with the corresponding C.S.R. to resolve them promptly
- Notify the corresponding C.S.R. and Operations Manager of any orders that cannot be shipped by the expected date
- Inform the Operations and Strategic Accounts Manager if small parcel carriers fail to pick up staged orders by the end of the workday
- Ensure that Warehouse Associates wear proper work attire and safety vests while in the warehouse
- Keep pack stations tidy
- Restock boxes and other supplies at pack stations
- Ensure dock doors (1-5) and personnel doors are closed and locked at the end of the day
- Return heavy machinery to its designated area and plug it in to charge if necessary
Lead - Picking & Packing Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields are a plus
- Experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and make quick, effective decisions
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Lift and carry items up to 50lbs
- Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching
- Manual dexterity for operating tools and machinery
- Visual and auditory ability to safely operate heavy machinery and ensure a safe working environment
- Work in varying temperatures, including cold and hot environments within the warehouse
- Must know how to operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts
