Position Title: J&L Gluer Machine Operator Assistant
Wage: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
Shift: 2nd
Hours: 2:00pm-10:30pm
QPS Employment Group has a great J&L Gluer Machine Operator Assistant position available at a company in Franksville, WI. This is a 2nd shift position with the opportunity for hire.
J&L Gluer Machine Operator Assistant Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Review work orders to understand job specifications and requirements.
- Verify bundle counts and stacking patterns to ensure accuracy.
- Set the J&L machine to the appropriate mode (Run, Setup, or Down).
- Inspect glue guns, check belts for wear and tracking and ensure there are no air leaks.
- Set up the machine for production and assist in troubleshooting when issues arise.
- Perform regular quality checks to ensure alignment and proper glue placement during production.
- Monitor the consistency and quality of regular production runs.
- Conduct periodic visual inspections to maintain product quality.
- Adhere to the production schedule and report any issues to the Supervisor.
- Ensure production of high-quality products in a safe, efficient manner.
J&L Gluer Machine Operator Assistant Requirements:
- Strong manufacturing background is preferred.
- Experience in corrugated or folding carton industry is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machinery and the gluing process.
- Fluency in English (both verbal and written) is required.
- Basic math skills and ability to read and use a tape measure.
- Experience in RRP/POS Packaging Production is a plus.
- Ability to interpret factory instructions and follow detailed work orders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to gather data, analyze it and make informed decisions.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Great attention to detail skills.
